Nice place with free wi-fi, a cozy bar area, and a good restaurant. The staff once helped me with a late checkout. I'm excited to return for Christmas.

It was very friendly to allow us to check in early, including a small breakfast. The front desk was very friendly. About 10-15 minutes on foot to Aberfoyle.
Shortly after we arrived, staff were still cleaning up the neighboring rooms. Unfortunately, this led to a certain background noise.

We had a quiet room at the very end of the building and were able to have a warm meal in the evening after our arrival.

The single room was decent sized with a nice view over woodland, so that guests had essentials. The venue was set in the very central position just off the lake of mentieth and the outskirts of Aberfoyle.

Very friendly staff, English breakfast. Minor defects were corrected immediately.
Not very inviting from the outside, but the room is completely ok.

Great stay with friendly vibes
Had a comfy night at this place. The staff were super chill and always up for a chat, feel homely. Dinner was tasty with lots of choice, and the cozy bar area was a nice spot to wind down. Just found it a bit odd getting a room far from the main area, but it was no biggie.

Lively very good budget property with extremely helpful staff especially the young waiter who left his own breakfast to get one for us. The hotel of choice in Aberfoyle.
Wi-Fi was very poor.

First let me say that the Rob Roy was my backup plan. I was looking for a local b&b to stay in. Unfortunately I couldn't find one so I stayed at the Rob Roy. It was relatively clean, the room was spacious, I got a free upgrade and I slept well. Staff were helpful.
I turned up 15 minutes early and my room wasn't ready. It is a motel, not a hotel. There were huge potholes to negotiate. It felt like the place had been put up and then no money had been spent to improve it. Breakfast was disappointing. I would say spend time phoning all the B&Bs in the area first. Aberfoyle is a lovely village.

We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the friendly staff. A highlight was the entertainment during evenings, with enjoyable live music that kept our family entertained. Plus, exploring nearby Aberfoyle Golf Club was a fantastic experience.
My kids wished there were more facilities for children, like a games room or play area.
